have never understood why things happened the way they did. nor have i understood why they had to occur at all. Life is always full of the unexpected; while the expected never did seem to arrive. the sun is always shining bright, but why am i always feeling so cold inside? i am awake but my eyes do not see the world i want to see what will we have forever in our life? Nothing-changes and death are the only constants.

eVeryDay ShD b a hAppY dAY! :)

This post is just to ensure my family, relatives and friends... ...

I have always been thought as the lazy one. And when trying my culinary skills at home, my family would refuse to eat them :(

Alright, it's not that bad. They would eat them, although I forced them to. Whahaha!

This is the very first porper meal that I cooked... Rice with dishes, made from scratch!

Chicken with brown peppery sauce (cooked together with red pepper and cute little tomatoes), egg with green bean (i.e. long bean look-a-like which they have here) with rice!

I must say that I am quite proud of myself~ That, the food came out presentable, and tasted not too bad.

" I think it was great!" - Tessa, my roommate

How did I make the chicken? Please let me know how to make it better kk!

1) Defrost the chicken, by soaking them in water.

2) Marinate them in some sesame oil, pepper. Massage them. (Coz I forgot to marinate them beforehand, this step was only 2-3min?! Haha!)

3) Heat the oil. Put the chopped garlic in. When the garlic becomes crispy brown, reduce the heat.

4) Put the chicken in!

5) Heat it for about ~2mins.

6) Pour water (not too much and not too little - just right) in. Add dark soy sauce, pepper (to taste).

7) Simmer for about 5 mins .

8) Add cute little tomatoes and chopped re peppers. Continue to simmer everything together until the chicken is tender and cooked.

9) Dissolve half to one tablespoon of cornflour in a small bowl of water, and add them to the 'stew'.

10) Stir it until it thickens (you should feel a slight resistance while stirring, that means).

11) Now it should look more like a gravy rather than stew. What I mean is there shouldn't be too much watery sauce - it should be a smaller quantity of slightly sticky sauce.

12) Now, serve it in a bowl.

The sauce should taste peppery, slightly salty (from soy sauce) and slightly sweet (from the tomatoes)... I thought I performed not too bad for the first time.

So don't worry about me not eating well. I will continue to improve my cooking! Haha!
